A servo drive is an electronic component that controls a servo motor's position, speed, and torque with high precision. It works as part of a closed-loop system, receiving commands from a controller, sending power to the motor, and using a feedback sensor (like an encoder) to constantly monitor the motor's actual state and make real-time adjustments. This continuous comparison between the commanded and actual motion allows for accurate and responsive performance, essential for automation, robotics, and CNC machines. Receives commands: A host controller sends a command signal 


to the servo drive specifying a desired position, speed, or torque. Powers the motor: The servo drive amplifies the command signal and adjusts the voltage and current it supplies to the servo motor to produce the commanded motion. Uses feedback: A sensor (such as an encoder) attached to the motor continuously monitors its actual position, speed, and/or torque. Compares and corrects: The drive compares the feedback signal to the original command signal. If there is a difference, it immediately adjusts the power sent to the motor to correct the deviation. Maintains control: This process repeats many times per second, ensuring the motor accurately and smoothly follows the controller's instructions.
